Iranian President Hassan Rouhani addressed concerns about his country’s nuclear programme on Monday, saying it was not interested in making weapons of mass destruction. “We have not thought of making weapons of mass destruction and we are not thinking of it”, he emphasized. However, he said Iran’s rights over nuclear technology must be respected.

Rouhani addressed those concerns while speaking at a military parade in Tehran to mark the anniversary of an 8-year war with Iraq in the 1980s.
