A fire at this FAA air traffic control facility in Illinois grounded flights at Chicago's O'Hare and Midway airports Friday morning.

Local media is reporting a man was found in the basement of the facility with self-inflicted wounds. He was taken to the hospital to be treated.

The building was evacuated as a precaution.

Several fire trucks, ambulances, and police units responded to the scene.

The fire at the facility forced flights in and out of the Chicago area to be suspended.

The incident comes months after a similar fire at this FAA radar facility prompted hundreds of flight cancellations and delays at O'Hare International and Midway.
