The largest aircraft in the world is flying what is said to be the longest route on Earth. Qantas put its Airbus A380 to good use this morning on an extra long 16 hour flight.

The aircraft departed from Sydney Airport headed for Texas. It's all part of a service that has a few bonuses. For one, U.S. bound passengers will get to travel on the plus-size, super comfortable plane.
Qantas Group CEO Alan Joyce explained another attraction stating “The feedback from our corporate customers.. tells us they like flying into the Dallas hub because it gets them closer to their final destination in the US and offers great onward connections.”
Those who use the Dallas/Fort Worth service have easy access to 50 major US cities that can all be traveled to in four hours or less. Previously a Boeing 747-400 flight carried out the long-haul runs.
The A380 increases seats on the journey by 10 percent each week. The fuel efficiency and greater range allows for a return service right back to Sydney.
Award winning seats, first class suites and entertainment options are just a few highlights the new aircraft boasts.
