Après que son bateau ait heurté des récifs, Varian Wrynn fût assommé et entrainé par les courants océaniques jusqu'à Durotar où, sérieusement blessé, amnésique et presque noyé, il fut capturé pour servir de gladiateur sous le nom de Lo'gosh. C'est là qu'il rencontra Broll Mantelours et Valeera Sanguinar qui l'aidèrent dans ses aventures. Après être parvenu à s'enfuir grâce à Hamuul Totem-runique, ils partirent pour Darnassus où Tyrande Murmevent les reçu, puis les envoya voir Jaina Portvaillant pour qu'elle aide Lo'gosh à retrouver la mémoire. Là-bas, ils rencontrèrent Aegwynn Magna qui soigna en partie Varian, lui rappelant qui il était.

After his ship had struck the reef, Varian Wrynn was stunned and driven by ocean currents to Durotar where seriously injured, amnesiac and nearly drowned, he was captured to serve as the Gladiator Lo'Gosh. There he met and Broll Bearmantle Valeera Sanguinar who helped him in his adventures. After managing to escape through Hamuul Runetotem they left for Darnassus where Tyrande Whisperwind the receipt and sent it to see Jaina Proudmoore Lo'Gosh help regain memory. There, they met Magna Aegwynn who treated partly Varian, reminding him who he was.
