Altaf Hussain extends sympathies to PTI Vice-chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi on the death of people In Multan stampede

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain telephoned PTI vice-chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi and extended sympathies on the death of several people as a result of a stampede in the PTI public meeting in Multan. He inquired about the details of the incident said that the incident was not less than a tragedy. He asked Mr Qureshi to convey his message to PTI chief Imran Khan and other leaders and workers that their grief was equally felt by all workers of the MQM.

Mr Hussain prayed Almighty Allah to bless the people who died in the stampede. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of the people who were injured in the incident.

Mr Qureshi thanked Mr Hussain on behalf of PTI chief Imran Khan and other leaders for calling and expressing sympathies in the time of grief. He informed Mr Hussain about the details and added that the administration could not manage appropriately. Only two gates of the venue of public meeting were opened and all other gates were locked. When the people tried to leave the venue after the end of the meeting, they were shot with water cannon. Mr Hussain said that the use of water cannon by the administration was unfortunate.
