The Soviet strategic and tactical air forces and their Warsaw Pact allies form the largest air power ever deployed. Soviet Air Power uses unique footage which was specially released by the Soviet armed forces for this program together with film taken by Western-forces during intercepts and exchange visit to tell the story of this immense war machine, featuring aircraft including the Mig 27 Flogger D and Mig-29 Fulcrum fighters. Seen here too are the giant AN-124 Russian transport, and Mil 24 Hind attack helicopter are combined with weapon firings, air-to-surface attacks, high level intercepts, and ground missile defenses.
