Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video review of Ranko Tsukigime's Longest Day for PlayStation 3, developed by Crispy's Inc. / Grasshopper Manufacture and published by Bandai Namco Games.
Ranko Tsukigime's Longest Day is a fairly basic platformer: You run to the right, you slash at enemies, and then you get to the goal. Kinda like Mario Bros. with a sword. Difference is, when Mario defeats an enemy, it doesn't explode into a massive supernova of Japanese ephemera, like anime-style legs and random outbursts of manga-style onomatopoeia and bouncing coinage that can decimate enemies in its way. You might need eye drops, or Pocky. Or both.
