The Last of Us Remastered is the remastered / upgraded version of the PlayStation 3's The Last of Us which was launched in June, 2013. The game was developed by Naughty Dog and was published as an exclusive by Sony Computer Entertainment on July 29, 2014.
It basically is the same as the PS 3's version. However they increased the resolution to 1080p. Character models also got an increase in resolution. They improved shadows and lighting, upgraded textures, 60 frames per second and even more improvements. All the major downloadable content releases (dlc's) were also implemented with The Last of Us Remastered. This includes Left Behind, Abandoned Territories, and Reclaimed Territories. Besides all these upgrades and inclusions there is also a exclusive director's commentary for all cinematics. This option features Creative Director and Writer, Neil Druckmann; Voice Actor, Troy Baker, who plays Joel; and BAFTA Award winning Voice Actress, Ashley Johnson, who plays Ellie in the game.
As a cherry on the cake a unique photo mode was added, this is exclusive for the Remastered edition. With this enhancement players are able to take personalized screenshots in game, while freezing the moment. The photo mode feature lets the player manipulate the screenshot.
