Buffalo Hit Case: DGCA to inquire, Bird hit incidents may take place in future at Surat airport-Tv9

Surat: Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has ordered an inquiry into incident at Surat airport where a Boeing 737-800 aircraft had hit a stray buffalo while taking off. There are fish ponds just adjacent to the boundary wall at Surat Airport which are resulting in the bird activities around the airport causing safety hazards. Therefore, in future, more bird and animal hit incidents may take place if authorities fail to take required actions.
