In Buenos Aires for the second time, Argentines of African heritage celebrated the 2nd Annual Afro-Argentine Day, working towards making the African component of national identity more visible. The events this year were in honor of María Remedios del Valle, the brave, Afro-Argentine captain who fought in Argentina's war for independence. teleSUR
