Shantae and the Pirate's Curse sees an uneasy alliance: Risky Boots isn't your antagonist this time; instead, she's relying on you, the embattled and de-leveled Shantae, to help stop the resurrection of a dread Pirate sealed away by the Genies long ago. (Full disclosure: Risky happened to be that Pirate's 1st Mate, the Gilligan to an evil Skipper.) There's Dark Magic to hoover up, items (and squids) to collect, and various absurdities to encounter - most of which are encapsulated in the game's eccentric (to a fault) cast.
