Patan: With heightened construction activity, there has been a spurt in cases of sand mining. Illegal ferry of sand is hardly deterrent as authorities are passive in the matter. Eyes of sand mafias are set on the vacate land which is a red signal to the authorities. This raise several questions like is there nexus between sand mafias and authorities?
