The Guided Fate Paradox - forming the level 5 legs
  • 9 years ago
With 4 completed level 4 legs (which requires 3 level 3 legs, each level 3 requiring 3 level 2s and each level 2 requiring 3 level 1s), I could form a level 5 leg. This leg item is so powerful that each strengthening alone gives stat boosts equal to what a typical rank 6 item's starting stats are for DEF, for the 5% zone that is. Seriously, this level 5 leg is so powerful that, when strengthened a lot and near burst status, it'll provide a boost toward DEF of over 5000%. Even when unstrengthened, it's so much more powerful than any level 2 item would ever get. It's stronger than level 3. Then, when you think about it, this item, as crazy powerful as it may seem, will look like a child's toy when it comes to the level 8 item. I'd need to form 27 of these level 5 items to get the level 8 but it'll be about 3.4 times more powerful.

This level 5 item is actually even stronger than usual. Why? I'm using boosters. Sure rank 1 items may not have any use at this point, but since they're so cheap and quick to max, I synthesized 2 of these booster items to form a boosted level 1 item. It, in a way, gets the level 1 item to be the equivalent of a rank or 2 higher. If you plan on using that route, remember the odd/even rule. If any of the starting stats are even, synthesize a burst unstrengthened rank 1 item into it to get that extra boost. Sure a 10 may mean only 2, but that means you'd max it at 26 instead of 23 giving an extra 1 point bonus for almost no extra effort. If you have old rank 2, 3, and irrelevant rank 4 junk sitting around, use those as boosters instead of the rank 1 items. Just remember the multiple of 5 rule when it comes to synthesizing stuff. If an item is, say, 24% for the boost and can still be strengthened, strengthen it once more to get that 26 or whatever to get that 1 extra point with synthesizing.

By utilizing the fastest method for bursting equipment, it really doesn't take much time get where I'm at now. Had I known about that fast method much earlier, instead of using map 3-2 and having Renya doing all the work, I'd easily have a second or even third level 5 item, starting on the level 6 items which are 50% stronger than this item in focus is.
