GOP heavyweights McCain, Cheney find opposing views on CIA report

It's been almost a week since the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee released its report on the CIA torture of detainees, and the report remains a major point of contention in Washington.
U.S. Republican Senator John McCain defended his decision to support the report's release on CBS's "Face the Nation."
(SOUNDBITE) (English) U.S. SENATOR JOHN MCCAIN, ARIZONA REPUBLICAN, SAYING:
"That's what America is all about. We do things wrong. We make mistakes. We review those and we vow never to do those again."
The report found that the CIA had misled the White House and the public about its interrogation program after the 9/11 attacks.
The report found that many of the practices amounted to torture.
Former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney called the report flawed.

"It came to some very flawed conclusions, such as the president had not been told about the program, which was a lie.
