Alvis FWD 1928 Model | Drive it!

The street version of the front-wheel-drive Alvis FWD debuted in 1928 in England. As usual at the time, experience from the racetrack flowed into series production. With front-wheel drive and individual suspension all around, back then the Alvis FWD was one of the world's most cutting-edge cars. The elaborate dashboard in the cockpit revealed the car's sporting origins -- as did the compressor's striking howl. Drive it! takes a rough ride in the open-top English vehicle.
