It’s said that cats have nine lives and the sentiment certainly rings true for many felines that land in dire situations. One white calico sphinx in Florida landed in one such predicament and amazingly she managed to escape the ordeal with her life.

The feline named Akila was shot in the head with an arrow. The disturbing images show the arrow had pierced through the area between her ears.

The remainder of it stretched down her face with the tip resting beyond Akila’s nose. The cat’s owner, Tyra, discovered she had been struck by the dart on Wednesday after finding her on a neighbor’s property.
