Messi, Iniesta, Alves train alone

Sant Joan Despí (Spain), 22 Jan (EFE).- Forward Lionel Messi, midfielder Andrés iniesta and defender Dani Alves, trained indoors Thursday to follow a specific program to recover from their respective problems, according to the club.
After their 1-0 triumph over Atlético de Madrid the night before in the first leg of the Copa del Rey quarterfinals, manager Luis Enrique Martínez called for a light session dominated again by the cold weather.
Defender Jérémy Mathieu, who has missed the last two games because of an Achilles tendon injury, worked out alone on the training pìtch. Full back Douglas Pereira continues in the hands of physiotherapists as he recovers from a torn muscle he suffered at training last weekend.
The first team including Messi, Iniesta and Alves will return Friday to prepare for their next game in La Liga against Elche Saturday.
