Father's Gut-Feeling May Have Led To Family's Survival During Plane Crash

A father's gut feeling may be the reason why he and his family survived a plane crash.

A father ended up saving his son due to a gut feeling he had before the Taipei crash. Lin Ming-wei, his spouse and one-year-old child had just found their seats on the TransAsia Airways flight when the alert dad heard something that didn't seem right.

Lin asked the crew if they could move to the rear right side of the aircraft and was granted permission. Shortly after takeoff, the aircraft crashed. Lin was able to move around the wreckage and began searching for his wife and child.

After a few minutes, he located his son in the Keelung River. Lin noticed the boy wasn't breathing and that his lips were blue so he immediately administered CPR. Because of those efforts his only child survived the crash. Lin’s wife endured as well, but both she and the youth have been hospitalized for treatment.
