Syria says that its forces shot down an unarmed U.S. drone over its airspace, marking the first incident of its kind... since the U.S.-led coalition warplanes began attacking Islamic State targets.
Syria's state-run broadcaster SANA first broke the news on Tuesday.
It said that an American surveillance plane was brought down along its western coast.

This as U.S. officials have all but stopped short of saying the aircraft was shot out of the sky.
