BUTTER KIT KATS?!?!? - Food Feeder

We’ve already established that the Japanese Kit-Kat economy is a thriving force in the international market. But Japan is still trying to keep at the top of their game, and so thus, they’ve developed butter flavored Kit Kats.

Now, it might not make sense to you why you’d make a fattening chocolate taste like, well, fat. But butter was the victor of Nestle Japan’s variation on Lay’s “Do Us A Flavor” contest from last year. The Tsuji Group Culinary School wanted to pick a flavor that represented the flavors of the Hokkaido region. And, well, better to pay tribute to their dairy industry than the Sea Urchin/Uni that’s also a big deal there.

For now, Butter Kit Kats are only available in Chocolatory stores in Sapporo, but we’re sure the magic of eBay will come through for us, and so they’ll also be available in the green screen studio here at Tasted.

So STAY TUNED?

If you could pick a new Kit Kat flavor, what would you choose? Do you think Butter Kit Kats sound good or bad? Would you eat an Uni Kit Kat? (Would you like to see Noah eat one?) Any other Japanese Snacks you’d like to see us talk about on the show?
