Fatal donut shop stabbing: hooded robber kills Andrew Ung at his parents’ LA shop

The LAPD is searching for a man responsible for the Tuesday stabbing death of Andrew Ung, a 29-year-old employee at his family’s donut shop.
At around 9:20 pm on January 13, the assailant described only as a man in his 30s, entered the store and placed an order.
While Ung was distracted the suspect reached over the counter grabbing money from the cash register.
It’s unclear if Ung was stabbed in the shop or as he chased the suspect, but he was found badly wounded in the back alley behind the restaurant.
Community members described Ung as a kind man who often gave food away for free for customers who were short on cash.
The LAPD's 77th Street Station will be hosting a "Stop the Violence" march Thursday with hopes of canvassing the community and finding clues that could lead to the suspected killers arrest.
