Man decapitates self by doing Mortal Kombat-style fatality move in a van

It all happened here on the corner of Singleton Boulevard and Vilbig Road in West Dallas.
Shortly before the gruesome suicide, Hugo Rodriguez was seen spraypainting “No Codigo” on the side of his van, which is Spanish for “No Code.” Below that were the letters “C-O-D-B-O,” which could be short for the video game Call of Duty, Black Ops.
But he proceeded to tie a rope around a fire hydrant, tying the other end to his own neck. Then he stepped on the gas and lurched his van forward, instantly decapitating himself.
No one else was hurt in the resulting one-car accident. Dallas police are investigating what the cryptic reference to the popular videogame means in terms of this incident, but for now it’s being treated as a suicide.
