Pranked: Fake torture and kidnapping used to convince ex-gf to return money

I can't believe it!
Okay, well.... I guess I did believe it.
Look, I only borrowed a little bit of money from my boyfriend, but after we broke up he became such a jerk about it! He was calling me and hassling me all the time to give the money back to him.
He even called my little brother! My little brother's only 18 and what does he know, anyway?
But then I got this super scary photo of my little brother all beat up and bleeding! Then my ex calls and threatens me, he tells me if I ever want to see my baby brother ever again I'd better return his money.
I was freaked out! So I called the police!
But the police called me back after they’d visited my ex to tell me the entire thing had been a prank! My little brother and my ex were working together to trick me! Ooh, it makes my blood boil to think that my own flesh and blood would do this to me!
Apparently the two of them staged the entire thing and got a make up artist to make it look like my little brother had been beaten.
It's just too cruel! How could they do that?!
I'd totally return the money! I just don't have $6K USD at the moment.....
