71-Year-Old Man Walks Thousands Of Miles To Promote Peace

As a grandfather of 8, Al wants this world to be the best place it can be. Inspired by the amazing men and women of the military, he has pursued what he believes is his mission to encourage others to pray for peace. After September 11, New York City became the epicenter of his travels. The peacemaker began walking to spread his message. He has logged thousands of miles since his first trip from New York City to Chicago in 2008 — landmarks include the Flight 93 crash Shanksville, PA, and Ground Zero in New York City, among others. As he walks, Al passes out small cards to remind others to pray for peace. So far, he has passed out more than 40,000 cards. Check out this inspiring video and see how Al promotes peace, one step at a time.
