Drought destroys crops in Ilocos Norte; Iligan City experiences water shortage

Almost 600 hectares of ricefields are now withered in Ilocos Norte due to extreme heat. In Iligan City, the residents have no water supply for three weeks now. These places are some of the provinces identified by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) that are now experiencing drought.
