Colombia: Uribe Defends Staff Convicted of Spying

Ex President Alvaro Uribe has come to the defense of his former staff members who were convicted of spying on judges, journalists and opposition leaders. The former head of Colombia’s National Security Agency, Maria del Pilar Hurtado and her colleague Fernando Moreno were sentenced to 14 and 8 years respectively last week. Over a quarter of Uribe staffers are under investigation or face charges. teleSUR.
