Taiwan nudist colony? Group of ten arrested for BBQ in birthday suits

A judge has finally decided to fine a group of nudists arrested in September of last year. Each participant of the nudist group will be fined USD 60 for their role in a naked BBQ.
Mr. Zhu, age 57, organized the nude BBQ via Facebook. Male participants were asked to pay USD $30 and female participants were asked to pay USD $18. The participation fee was to cover the cost of the food and BBQ supplies. Nudity is free, afterall.
There were 10 participants in all, eight men and two women. They met up and drove up into the mountains in the Xindian district to the south of Taipei city.
Mr. Zhu then led them to a pre-scouted area where they would be able to BBQ in the nude in peace.
Unfortunately, it seems that some hikers stumbled upon the group and took a few photos and videos before reporting the group to the police. Perverts!
The group all pleaded guilty, but said that they shouldn’t be punished just because they wanted to be naked during some activities with friends. The nudists said they had chosen an isolated area, away from schools and playgrounds. There are nude beaches in Europe and in other countries, if no one got hurt, what was the big deal?
Some people are just more comfortable in their own skin.
