California judge Scott Steiner nailed for getting it on with 2 former law students in his chambers

An Orange County judge was recently censured for having sex in his chambers with two former law students, the Commission on Judicial Performance found.
According to the commission, Judge Scott Steiner had sex on multiple occasions in his chambers with a woman who had worked for him as an intern and another woman who is an attorney.
Both women were students in law school classes taught by Steiner at nearby Chapman University.
Steiner also attempted to get secure employment for the intern, calling the District Attorney’s Office to complain when the woman did not receive the position.
“Well, I guess writing a letter of recommendation means nothing,” he reportedly said during the phone call.
In addition to the allegations involving the two women, Steiner failed to disqualify himself from a case involving a close friend, the commission found.
Public censure is the most severe punishment the commission can hand out, short of being removed from the bench completely.
Steiner will continue to serve as an Orange County circuit court judge, receiving full pay and benefits including his six-figure salary.
