Missing girl found alive: Abby Hernandez returns home, Nathaniel Kibby arrested for kidnapping

An arrest has been made nine months into the case of missing New Hampshire girl Abigail Hernandez, who disappeared on October 9, 2013.
Hernandez returned safely to her North Conway home on July 20 wearing the same clothes she had on the day she disappeared. She’s since provided police with enough information to arrest Nathaniel Kibby at his Gorham home this week in connection with the alleged kidnapping.
Back in October, Hernandez left Kennett High School and was walking home as usual. She exchanged several text messages with a friend. The last message was sent just before 3 p.m.
Hernandez told police she was picked up by a man driving a blue pickup truck. She also provided police with a sketch of the man, which led to more than 20 tips from the public. Police arrested Kibby as their primary suspect on Monday and are convinced that criminal activity took place due to the fact that the teen remained hidden for nine months.
It’s unknown exactly what crime (or crimes) the 34-year-old may be guilty of as Hernandez has provided limited details concerning her disappearance. Kibby’s arraignment is set for Tuesday in Conway District Court.
