Ex-con Nolan Perez leads LA cops on 100 mph freeway chase while carrying AR-15 assault rifle

Residents of Los Angeles can sleep a bit better knowing ex-con Nolan Perez is behind bars.
On Monday, following a nasty argument with his ex-girlfriend, police tried to confront Perez.
But he grabbed an AR 15 assault rifle and sped off, leading cops on a 100 mile-an-hour chase along an LA freeway.
After driving off the freeway and into a residential neighborhood, Perez ditched the car, and was later spotted jumping along rooftops while still holding the powerful weapon.
Finding an empty home, Perez forced his way in and hunkered down
But after police tossed a can of tear gas into the home, this tough guy came crawling out with his hands in the air.
Nine schools in the area went on lockdown following news of a man with a gun. Local residents expressed relief that no one was injured during the incident.
