Scientists at Australia’s Parkes Observatory have recently discovered that the mysterious signals that the radio telescope had been detecting periodically for 17 years came from the microwave in the staff kitchen.

The mysterious origin of periodic radio signals detected at Australia’s Parkes Observatory has recently been identified.
Apparently, a staff microwave caused the on-site radio telescope to pick up on its waves.
These kinds of signals are called perytons which are quick bursts of earth-based radio signals along a specified frequency range.
