A young couple was found dead Monday afternoon after losing contact with their families last Saturday.
The girl was 15 and the boy was 14. They studied together at Shui Lin Junior High School in Yulin County, Taiwan. According to the girl's mother, she had an argument with her daughter because she wanted her to end the relationship with the boy on Saturday.
The girl stormed off angrily, riding her bicycle to her grandmother's house. Later her mother called police after finding out the boy hadn't contacted his family as well. Police later found the two bodies in a river.
They boy's mother was broken-hearted when she saw her son's body. Even though the parents denied the two were in a relationship, classmates of the two students confirmed that they were in love. The parents believed they didn't commit suicide, they must had an accident or killed by others.
It's too early for police to rule on a cause of death, but preliminary reports show that the teenagers were drowned. The principal of the junior high school said he was sorry for not taking good care of his students.
