Garda armored truck robbery in Philadelphia: robbers escape in Cadillac Escalade

Two robbers wearing bandanas and armed with assault rifles held up a Grada armored truck outside a TD Bank in Philadelphia on Thursday morning and made off with $105,000 in a stolen minivan as customers and staff watched in shock from inside the bank.
A witness saw the bandits transferring the money from the stolen minivan to a white Cadillac Escalade and ditching the minivan just two blocks from the bank. Police traced the licence plate of the SUV to a third floor apartment and found the vehicle parked outside.
Using a battering ram, police entered the apartment and found a large plastic bag filled with cash. They did not find the suspects or the semiautomatic weapons used in the robbery. Police believe the robbers escaped out the back door as police arrived at the apartment.
The FBI is looking into whether this robbery is connected to a similar holdup at a Wells Fargo branch last October. The robbers in that case wore "Scream" masks and netted $300,000.
