A Moroccan fighter jet that took part in Saudi-led airstrikes in Yemen disappeared during a sortie on Sunday evening.

The missing jet was one of many Moroccan F-16 fighter jets stationed in the UAE. Morocco is a member of the Saudi-led coalition air campaign against Houthi rebels in Yemen.

The fighter jet went missing at around 6 p.m. on Sunday. The pilot of another jet in the same squadron says he didn't notice the pilot of the plane eject.

Houthi forces possess and often use anti-aircraft guns against Coalition jets on strike missions in Yemen.
