Asking Strangers for Sex. You have seen the videos from the United States -- an improbably hot woman approaches men with an equally improbable proprosition: are you down for sex? Most men would seem to agree. But in our Taiwan social experiment, we found this not to be the case.

Similar experiments in Western countries have produced predictable results. When a beautiful female approaches a random male on the streets, a whopping 83% of the men would agree to have sex with her right away. But when we ran the same study in Taiwan, very few men were game. Why?

Maybe Taiwanese men are more suspicious of a too-good-to-be true offer.
