Last week, Goldcorp held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Toronto, Ontario at the Sheraton Centre Toronto. The event was well attended by shareholders, employees, and community members who heard from Goldcorp?s Chairman Ian Telfer and President & CEO Chuck Jeannes on the company?s accomplishments and plans going forward.
In the weeks leading up to the AGM, a proxy advisory firm urged shareholders to vote against the proposed non-binding advisory resolution to accept the Company?s approach to executive compensation. Since 2012, we have provided shareholders with a Say-On-Pay vote to help us engage constructively, obtain meaningful feedback and ensure accountability for executive compensation.
