Researchers with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration have published a report linking the deaths of dolphins in the Gulf of Mexico to the 2010 BP oil spill.
After researching numerous other possibilities, they propose it is a contributing factor to the increased death rate.
Physical anomalies in the dolphins found in the northern Gulf of Mexico were not significantly present in others that died in regions not affected by the BP disaster.
