Super Smash Bros. for Wii U pretty much says it all. You can't have a Nintendo console these days without one. And when it drops, it's a big deal, simply because they're pounding together the most memorable and long-lived franchises in the industry into a fighting-game-but-not-quite. Rather than shaking up the basic mechanics of the game, though, Nintendo have preferred to broaden the experience, rolling in a board game mode, 8-man bouts, and even more of the trophies and remixes that celebrate the history of the industry.
