In this video, I will show you how to do this really simple and elegant looking cross design that is basically created as an effect with matte polish and glossy polish on the nails.
It is a great look to create, and can be done even by those who are beginners and have little practice with doing there nails.
You will need the right tools though, hence I have shared the links for some of the tools used here above. The products have not been sent to me and this is not a sponsored video :-)
If you do not wish to buy these expensive polishes, for just one or two time use though, I have a fun alternative for you all. In this video, I will also show by the way of a few very simple steps how to make matte polish at home! You will be amazed at how simple the whole process is and how it can be done in just a few minutes.
However, such polishes usually are not as dull and matte in their final texture as most matte polishes are. So use this concept only if you have a really good glossy polish to offset it on the side, and if you want to create looks of this kind only rarely. Otherwise getting a dull finish polish is probably a good investment for you - you can get a matte top coat instead of a colored one, so that it will get you this look with other colors too!

Two of these designs are very similar to the one I have created here. The concepts are not too different, as they both rely on the play of matte and gloss textures. The last one is also similar, but we take it one step ahead, and use the effect to get a more sophisticated design with puzzle effect. Nail shape:
To create this look, the best nail shape would be a square tip manicure, since this design has a very edgy look, and this nail shape accentuates the look a lot better.
Nail length:
The nail length can be both long or short or in fact, even medium. This is a simple look that can be well accommodated on all shapes of nails, so you need not worry about the length!
