MAPIM responds to The Star and moderate Malays

Majlis Perundingan Pertubuhan Islam Malaysia (MAPIM) has sent a letter to the Star today to voice their opinion on the Voices of Moderates campaign and the effects from an open letter published by the newspaper from the 25 'eminent moderate Malays.'
According to its president, Azmi Abdul Hamid the campaign has cast the Malay-Muslim community in a bad light as they are seen as condoning extremism and intolerance.
