Ambiga agrees with Bon on non-Muslims not subjected to fatwa

Former Bersih co-chairperson Ambiga Sreenevasan said lawyer Edmund Bon was merely offering his legal opinion when he said that non-Muslims were not subjected to fatwas. Ambiga also said it was an opinion she agreed with.

Bon last week was called up by the police for comments he made in an article published by The Malaysian Insider. The lawyer had said that non-Muslims do not need to adhere to a fatwa or royal decree.
