Man Plants Four Miles Of Sunflowers For Late Wife

A Wisconsin man is enjoying the four-and-a-half mile stretch of blooming sunflowers he planted in memory of his late wife who died of cancer last year; the seeds will be harvested and sold with the proceeds benefiting cancer research, per her wish.

Eau Claire, Wisconsin has a strong farming tradition, but one man’s recent crop of flowers is drawing special attention. 
About two months ago in June, farmer Don Jaquish planted a swath of sunflowers that spans more than four miles and almost 400 acres in memory of his late wife, Babbette.
