This Laser Disc Player has s-video output, auto "flipping", optical audio output and a remote control! It players LASER DISCS using LASERS!!! Laser Disc was the premium home video standard from the late 1970s through the late 1990s until DVD debuted. While DVD and Blu-Ray typically provide better audio and video quality than Laser Disc, there are many earlier cuts of movies available on LaserDisc which cannot be found on modern video formats (like Star Wars, Akira, etc...)
