Supermodel Yfke Sturm in a coma after surfing accident

A Victoria’s Secret supermodel is fighting for her life after she fractured her skull in a freak surfing accident last week off Italy.
Yfke Sturm, who gave birth to her first child just one month ago, fell off a motorized surfboard near the island of Ischia and was struck by another jet-surfer at high speed as she tried to swim to shore, the Mirror reports.
The 33-year-old beauty suffered severe spinal as well as head injuries, the U.K. paper adds.
The London-based Dutch model was airlifted to a Naples hospital, where she remains in a coma.
Sturm is reportedly at serious risk of permanent paralysis.
Sturm’s modeling career took off in 1997, when she won an international modeling contest at 15 years old.
