Sarasota Authorities Find Bong, Not Bomb, Under Bridge

The Sarasota, Florida Hazardous Devices Unit was called after a suspicious man was seen leaving a case under a local bridge. The investigation revealed that he had left behind some drug paraphernalia.
Bridges can be vulnerable targets which is why suspicious activity in Sarasota, Florida recently caught the attention of authorities.
According to the county sheriff’s Facebook page, the Hazardous Devices Unit was deployed after a man was spotted leaving what they describe as “a small gray hard-sided case wrapped in black in the cement gully under a bridge.”
An X-ray of the item revealed that it didn’t contain a bomb but glass drug paraphernalia protected with specially molded foam.
