Colombia: FARC Ready to Become Legal Political Movement

The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) is ready to lay down its arms and become a legal political movement. A partial agreement with the government on land reform has been reached and the rebels are making basic proposals on the justice system in the post-conflict period. FARC leader Ivan Marquez said the rebels are seeking a consensus for a bilateral ceasefire. The rebel proposals have been very positively received and viewed as an indication that the peace process is moving forward. Natalia Margarita reports from Bogota. teleSUR
