Venezuela and Guyana to Return Ambassadors to Their Posts

Venezuela and Guayan have agreed to send their respective ambassadors back to their diplomatic missions. They had been recalled in a dispute by the neighboring countries over the Esequiba region. Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and Guyanese President David Granger met in New York at the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly. Their interchange was mediated by UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon. The UN will send a technical commission to Venezuela in the next few days to assess the situation. teleSUR
