In an unusual move, the Mexican Senate questioned President Enrique Peña Nieto on thorny issues plaguing his administration. The upper house of Congress sent Peña Nieto 38 questions on corruption, the prison escape of drug kingpin Joaquin El Chapo Guzman, the privatization of the state oil company Pemex, the education reform, relations with the United States, and the country's deteriorated image abroad.
