Drone Photos Show Remarkable Family Life Of Killer Whales

A recent research expedition by NOAA Fisheries and the Vancouver Aquarium returned with some amazing photographs of killer whale family life.

An unmanned aerial vehicle recently caught some remarkably detailed images of killer whales tending to their young. 
The population is known as the Southern Resident killer whales. They spend part of each year just north of Seattle. 
The photographs were taken during a research expedition to study their eating habits and reproductive success. 
One image shows the youngest addition to the family, swimming alongside its mother.
