Venezuela: Twitter Peace Campaign Launched

In an effort to promote a peaceful environment for the upcoming December 6 elections, the Venezuelan government has launched a Twitter campaign with the slogan, “I Sign for Peace.” The campaign backed by President Nicolas Maduro urges all Venezuelans to respect the electoral process in hopes of warding off right-wing destabilization measures. The opposition MUD party, however, has said that it will refuse to sign the agreement promising to respect the elections. teleSUR
